Re: I bet the Air becomes Apple’s flagship notebook

David Karp has a nice little write up on the MacBook Air. A lot of people do buy laptops they don’t need. In fact, if Oakley didn’t put one in my hands I would not only not have a laptop, I would not have a Mac. I love this thing, and I’m buying my own soon.

My boss reads this, so I’m reluctant to mention that I put my PC aside at home, and I use the Mac exclusively. :)

I come home, plug it in to my monitor, pull out my bluetooth keyboard and mouse and go to town… programming, surfing the net, etc. When I go to work, I load it into my nifty Oakley backpack that was designed for laptops (Yes, cheap plug! It’s the least I can do after just mentioning that I use my laptop for my own websites!), and plug it in to my monitor at work. It has literally replaced my computing experience at home and work… and it’s portable. I’ll be taking it to SXSW this year.

Either way, the MacBook Air looks pretty cool, I just wish it were less expensive.
